Business Briefs Mark J. Lema of East Amherst, professor and chair of the Department of Anesthesiology in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo was installed as president of the 40,000 member American Society of Anesthesiologists in October. He is also chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Critical Care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Columbus McKinnon Corporation of Amherst, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, announced the formation of Columbus McKinnon Europe, which expands its existing Yale Europe business to include the sale of Columbus McKinnon products into European markets. The board of directors elected Wolfgang Wegener as a vice president of Columbus McKinnon Corporation and managing director of Columbus McKinnon Europe to lead the expanded business unit. Calspan Corporation recently named Getzville resident David Roberts, as one of three senior managers for its restructured Transportation Research Group Division. Roberts, named manager of the Transportation Science and Test Center, has spent 22 years with Calspan, and oversees crash test, tire research, and sled test facilities as well as the component testing and calibration labs. |
