Couple celebrates 60 years on Thanksgiving Day

Blanche and Raymond A. Wagner of East Amherst celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006 with their family. There was also a Mass and marriage blessing.

Raymond A. Wagner married Blanche Pallen on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1946 in Dunkirk, N. Y.

Raymond is a World War II Army veteran and retired from Raymond A. Wagner Insurance Agency. Blanche is a homemaker and retired banker. The couple enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, sports and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

The couple is active at St. Gregory the Great Church and are former members of St. Amelia's Church and Nativity Church.

They have six children, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
