Vintage Christmas set for Lewiston

Santa Claus is coming to Lewiston for A Vintage Village Christmas Walk this weekend. Other events along Center Street include horse-drawn carriage rides, tours and more.
Christmas is coming, and what better way to celebrate than the old-fashioned way, with carriage rides, boutique shopping, carolers, roasted chestnuts and outdoors enter tainment.

The Lower Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will hold its 39th annual Christmas Walk, now known as A Vintage Village Christmas Walk, in historic Lewiston Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2 and 3.

Throughout the weekend, the village's quaint shops, restaurant and businesses will serve complimentary warm beverages and refreshments. Hartland Carriages will be dashing through the village with horse-drawn carriage rides from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, leaving from First Niagara Bank, 500 Center St.

Santa Claus will arrive via his helicopter sleigh at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Frosty, Rudolph and the Grinch will escort the jolly old elf along Center Street. Center Street will be lined with themed Christmas trees decorated by Lewiston business owners.

Christmas in the Village Historic Home Tours will also take place. Tickets are $20 per person for the tours.
