College scholarships available

Western Division Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for $6,000 in scholarship awards. Any person who lives, works, worships, attends school or volunteers in Erie or Chautauqua County is eligible to submit an application. The scholarships are available to high school seniors planning to attend college or a trade school for the first time.

Student's SAT scores, community service, overall grade point average, and an essay are considered when determining the winners.

Applications are due to the Credit Union, 6750 Main St., Williamsville, N.Y. 14221, by March 2, 2007. Recipients of the 2007 scholarships will be announced in May. For an application and complete details, visit www.westerndivision.org or call 632-9328.
