BNI breakfast

Greg Catalano will be the speaker at the Dec. 2 BNI Buffalo's first breakfast meeting, to take place from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga. The topic for the event will be "There is no Season for Construction." Catalano is the owner of Catalano Contracting and will discuss different homemaking tips both inside and outside the home. BNI is a business referral organization that allows one person per profession to join its chapters. For more information, call 675-9010.

Career fair

scheduled

for teachers

The Canadian Teacher Career Fair will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Niagara University's Kiernan Center on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Representatives from Ontario school boards will be on campus to provide information concerning employment opportunities, benefits and application requirements for their boards. Some school boards may conduct interviews with candidates in the afternoon. Candidates are encouraged to bring resumes and to dress professionally. The event is sponsored by Canisius, Daemen, D'Youville and Medaille colleges, Niagara University and the University at Buffalo. Workshop slated

on starting

business in home

The Canisius College Center at Amherst located at 300 Corporate Parkway, will host a workshop at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17 on starting a home-based business. Those who attend will learn about the good and not-so-good reasons for working from home. This includes marketing, business planning, IRS regulations, local zoning and ordinances, as well as other information that will provide the basis for an effective and worthwhile startup.
