Predictions: Another close game for Buffalo It looked shaky for a little while, but the Buffalo Bills managed to pull out a 24-21 victory in Houston Sunday, thanks to a late touchdown drive by the offense. Quarterback J.P Losman was up and down again, throwing for 340 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Receiver Lee Evans had a huge day, catching 11 passes for 265 yards and a two touchdowns. Defensively, linebacker London Fletcher Baker recorded nine tackles, while cornerback Nate Clements had an interception and a fumble recovery. This week, the Bills (4-6) return home to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 1 p.m. game Sunday. J.P. Losman showed us all something on Sunday that we've failed to see out of our young quarterback in the past - clutch. The kid was great under pressure and for the first time in a long time, the Bills were actually fun to watch. Jacksonville is next, at home in winter conditions. The Bills can win this football game. - Buffalo 23, Jacksonville 20. Ken Bartolotta, Lifestyles Reporter (8-2) The Bills played well and allowing J.P. Losman to actually use his arm and throw the ball seemed to work for the team. This week the Bills will not measure up to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Especially since, my cousin is a defensive coach for the Jaguars - I have to root for family. - Jacksonville 28, Buffalo 27. Jill Schmelzer, Lifestyles Coordinator (7-3) Maybe playing in front of the fans at Ralph Wilson Stadium will make a difference, maybe it won't. All I know is, Buffalo isn't going to be a consistent winner again until it seriously addresses its offensive line deficiencies. I'm thinking it'll be another long afternoon for the Bills' faithful. - Jacksonville 24, Buffalo 17. Jason Nadolinski, Sports Reporter (6-4) J.P. Losman finally showed why he was a first-round draft pick this week, but it was against Houston, one of the worst pass defenses in the league. Not to mention Losman almost handed the Texans the game with his interception. Losman's best attribute for the rest of the season is how he can build confidence and consistency. And against a very good Jacksonville defense, I see a letdown. - Jacksonville 20, Buffalo 14. Patrick Nagy, Sports Reporter (6-4) + I have to give Kudos to J.P. Losman and his performance Sunday. It was his finest hour and the first time he has come through in the clutch late. The Jaguars defense will provide a more daunting task, but injuries have limited the Jacksonville offense and this game will be tight. The defense should be able to generate a couple of turnovers and the Bills will upset the Jags at home. - Buffalo 17, Jacksonville 13. Chris Gordon, Orchard Park Editor (6-4) Wow. The Buffalo Bills actually won a game and J.P. Losman played well for a change. With Jacksonville coming to town this weekend, the Jags having a short week after playing Monday night and Byron Leftwich announcing Monday that he'll have surgery on his throwing arm. - Buffalo 24, Jacksonville 14. Nick Primerano, Ken-Ton Editor (6-4) Buffalo's offense remains inconsistent and its too much to ask the defense to hold teams scoreless. Jacksonville is not an elite team in the NFL, but it is a playoff team. The Bills should hang around for a while, but watch for the Jaguars to pull away in the second half. - Jacksonville 24, Buffalo 20. Matt Krueger, Sports Reporter (5-5) |
