Eileen C. Metz, 82, of Amherst, a retired executive secretary to the Superintendent of Williamsville Central Schools, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006.
Born Eileen Shea, she attended Holy Family Grammar School and was a 1942 graduate of South Park High School.
From 1942 to 1949 she worked as an executive secretary for Beals, McCarthy and Rogers and in 1966 became executive secretary to the Superintendent of Williamsville Central Schools until her retirement in 1986.
Mrs. Metz was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church and St. Amelia's Church, was an avid world traveler and bridge player and kept her associations with her Sunnydale Dr. neighbors and Williamsville Central School colleagues.
Her husband of 54 years, Raymond A., died in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Metz and Maureen Charhut; two sons, Michael and Mark; two sisters, Agnes Shea and Geraldine Schnitter; a brother, James Shea, and seven grandchildren.
Prayers were said Friday, Nov. 17 from Amigone Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Gregory the Great Church.
