Studio Arena Theatre ushers in the holiday season with "The 4th Wise Man," Nov. 24-Dec. 23.
Written by Studio Arena Artistic Director Kathleen Gaffney and Emmy Award-winning television writer Tom Fontana, the inspirational production is based on a story by 19th century minister Henry Van D yke.
The play is adapted from Fontana's teleplay from a 1985 television movie. Fontana was the writer and producer of television's "St. Elsewhere" and "Homicide: Life on the Street."
Artaban (Paolo Andino), a prominent magi, sells his fortune and, with his wise-cracking servant Orontes (Darin De Paul), and three precious gifts, sets off to find the newborn Messiah. Throughout his journey, he misses Him at every turn, and uses his gifts to help people in need.
This heartwarming story examines the meaning of true faith and will enchant adults and children alike with its artistry.
