Holy Angels Academy named the following Amherst residents to first honors for the first quarter of the 2006-07 school year: Brittany Dennee, Catherine Dines, Christina Dines, Kelly Dunn, Bridget Eimer, Sarah Griebner, Stephanie Griebner, Gabrielle Kozik, Anna-Claire Marrone, Lydia Quebral, Colleen Reidy, Emily Seier, Alexandra Tetrault and Jessie Yee. Students named to second honors were: Samantha Bonito, Jaclyn Evans, Carrie Gambino, Heather Gaulin, Lauren Shelley, Allison Smith and Caitlin Vance.

SS. Peter and Paul School held a School Walk for Diabetes and raised more than $5,000 for diabetes research, education, and advocacy. The check was presented to the American Diabetes Association on Nov. 17 at the school, 5480 Main St. The School Walk for Diabetes Program is a national initiative of the American Diabetes Association which fosters a spirit of volunteerism in youth.
