Micron Blue Sabres take care of Gold, tie White

The Micron season opener saw the Blue Sabres beat the Gold Sabres, 5-4, on Nov. 5 in a well played game.

The full ice game let the skaters show off their hockey skills. Scoring two goals for the Blue team were Eli Utz and Gianna Santora. Calogeno Santora also scored a goal. Theo Gogos and Liam Evenson played very strong defensive games.

Blue sabres goalie Liam Gallagher and Gold Sabres goalie Alex Dane both made incredible saves to keep the game close.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Micron Blue Sabres tied the White Sabres, 8-8. The game was full of end-to-end action. Both teams showed off their skating and shooting skills. Scoring for the Blue Sabres was the fresh young prospect brought up from novice two, Dante Santora, who scored four goals. His brother, Calogeno and Alexander Scarozza each netted one while Kellen Pulera helped his team by scoring two goals.

Donovan McCann, Liam Gallagher, Utz, and Rachel Juneau all played great hockey to help their team with the tie. Blue goalie Salvator Sarrauto made some great and entertaining saves to keep his team in the game. CJ Goss also played a great game in the net.

The Blue and White Sabres remain unbeaten.
