Squirt Red Sabres, Wolves skate to 7-7 tie

The Red Sabres and Wolves battled each other to a 7-7 tie in Squirt action this weekend.

The Red Sabres took a 2-1 first period lead and stretched it out to 5-3 after two periods, only to see the Wolves come howling back in the final period.

The Red Sabres were once again led by Adam Tucker, who netted his second straight hat trick, and by Andrew Mosher and Michael Geiger, who both punched in a pair of goals. Blake Lang also played a great game on offense.

On defense, the Sabres' Andrew White made his goaltending debut while Matthew Tripi and Max Tracy kept the Wolves off balance all afternoon.

Nolan Burch scored a hat trick for the Wolves.

Red Sabres 4, Sharks 3

The Squirt Division Red Sabres won a season opening squeaker against the Sharks, 4-3.

The Red Sabres were led on offense by Adam Tucker, who banged the nets for a hat trick and by Nick Tracy, who also chipped in with a solo goal. Andrew Welchoff was tough in the nets holding off the Sharks in the final period to save the win.
