Amherst Central senior Jodi Battaglia signed a National Letter of Intent Thursday to play lacrosse at the University at Albany. Battaglia said UAlbany is what she was looking for in a college.
"UAlbany seemed to be a good fit academically and athletically," she said. "It has good lacrosse at a competitive D-I program. They play in the America East Conference. It also has a communications program, which is my intended major. The geographic location is appealing and I like the size of the school."
Battaglia said the coaching staff has talked about her playing in the midfield.
"They are bringing in a good size recruiting class so I will have my work cut out for me," she added.
Battaglia has scored 149 goals and 94 assists in three years for Amherst.
