Mildred M. Schalge, involved with church

Mildred M. Schalge, 87, of Williamsville, who was involved with Amherst Lutheran Church, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, in the Niagara Lutheran Home and Rehab Center.

Born in St. Louis, Mo., she had lived in the area since 1946.

Mrs. Schalge was a member of Amherst Lutheran Church and a former member of the church's Women's Guild. She also served as the church's secretary for many years.

Mrs. Schalge was also a former secretary of the UB Faculty Club.

Mrs. Schalge is survived by her husband, Edward; a daughter, Diane of Williamsville and a son, Gary of Arizona.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18 at Amherst Lutheran Church, 5125 Main St. just East of the 290.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Niagara Lutheran Health Foundation, 64 Hager St., Buffalo, N.Y. 14208.
