Details sought in fatal accident

Amherst police are asking anyone with information about a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle around 10:20 a.m. Nov. 7 on Hummingbird Lane to call 689-1322.

Police have reported that a 90-year-old woman passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Erie County Medical Center after suffering a severe head injury from being hit by a vehicle that was backing out of a driveway.

The accident is under investigation by the Amherst Police Accident Investigation Unit.
