SENIORNEWS The following events will take place at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 350 John James Audubon Parkway. For more information, call 636-3059. COOKING WITH ANN will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28. Ann will present "Hungry for the Holidays." Cost is $10 per person. Fee includes supplies. A maximum of 15 people for this program. All reservations must be paid in cash, in advance by Wednesday, Nov. 22. after which no refunds will be given. For reservations, call 636-3059. FLU AND PNEUMONIA SHOT PROGRAM will be held by appointment only Wednesday, Nov. 15. The cost is $25 for flu shots and $35 for pneumonia shots. THE CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP will now be held at the Amherst Senior Center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. "HIGH SOCIETEA" will be held at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. Learn how to brew the perfect cup of tea, learn about the cultivation and traditions of tea, enjoy scones, eclairs, tarts, cookies and three varieties of tea. THE AM-CENTER CAMERA CLUB will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. ANNUAL FUDGE AND FRUIT CAKE SALE begins Tuesday, Nov. 21 while supplies last. WOMEN'S ISSUES will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27. in the Waiting Lounge. The presentation will be on "Tips to Reduce Holiday Stress." Session includes a question and answer period. BIRTHDAY PARTY LUNCHEON will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 28 to celebrate birthdays for the months of November and December. Entertainment to begin at 12:30 p.m. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. Dr. Zdenka Gredel-Manuele, a professor from Niagara University, will do a program on the History of Bamberg. This presentation will identify the Jewish settlements in Bamberg, Germany and review some of the contributions made by Jewish leaders to the political, cultural, and social life of the town until the advent of National Socialism in 1933. Photographs will be used to illustrate the importance of Jewish life in Bamberg. BOOK LOVERS CLUB will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. CLUB SALE will hold sales before the holiday season from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21; from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 7 and 8. HOLIDAY HAPPENING will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6. Knitters, crafters and quilt clubs will be selling items for holiday shopping. RANDY GODDING, artist, will be featured throughout the months of November and December at the center. It can be viewed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS will be available from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and Thursdays. AMHERST RECORDER CONSORT meets from 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays in the Music Room. Call 836-5568.
