Elizabeth A. Schirra and Dale F. Vallon

Anna C. Schirra of Depew announces the engagement of her daughter, Elizabeth Anne Schirra, to Dale F. Vallon, son of Janice and Francis Vallon of Depew. Miss Schirra is also the daughter of the late David P. Schirra.

Miss Schirra is a 1997 graduate of Nardin Academy. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice from Canisius College in 2001. She earned her master's degree in elementary education from Canisius College in 2003. She is a teacher in Henderson, Nev., and a member of the Nevada State Education Association.

Her fiance is a 1992 graduate of Depew High School. He earned his associate degree in electrical engineering technology and liberal arts from Erie Community College in 1998 and 1999. He is a water filtration specialist for Las Vegas Quality Water Works in Henderson, Nev.

A May 2007 wedding at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church, with a reception at Samuel's Grande Manor is planned. The couple will honeymoon on a cruise to Hawaii.
