Couple honeymoons in Panama

Mr. and Mrs. Al Raab
Melissa Rasey married Al Raab in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, July 1, 2006 in Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College in Buffalo. The Rev. John Bucki officiated.

The bride is the daughter of James and Maryanne Rasey of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Judith Raab of Williamsville and the late James Raab.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a diamond white satin gown with an asymmetrical waist, corset back and sweep train. Her gown was embellished with Swarovski crystals at the bust line and down the left side of the dress. Her veil was two-tiered diamond white with crystals, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and stephanotis with rhinestone accents.

The maid of honor was Elizabeth Knab, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Alexandra and Krista Rasey, sisters of the bride; Katherine Raab, sister of the groom; and Katie Davis, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Kayla Bauerlein, cousin of the bride.

The best men were Ryan Brown and Michael Sticht, friends of the groom. The ushers were Daniel Rasey, brother of the bride, and Darryl Simpson, Joseph DiNardo and Chad Cornelius, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Timothy Raab, cousin of the groom.

A reception was held at Brierwood Country Club in Hamburg. After a honeymoon in Panama, the couple is at home in Cheektowaga.
