MusicalFare leads the pack

MusicalFare Theatre presents the high-powered song-and-dance filled Broadway musical retrospective "Leader of the Pack: The Ellie Greenwich Musical," through Dec. 10.
The musical celebrates the life and times of Greenwich, whose doo-wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the '60s charts. Along with co-writer and husband Jeff Barry, songs included "Leader of the Pack," "Chapel of Love," "Da Doo Ron Ron," "Hanky Panky," "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy," and others.
Critics have hailed "Leader of the Pack" as a happy, high-spirited, foot-stomping romp.
The production features Kathy Weese, Robert J. Cooke, Eric Rawski, Marc Sacco, Michele Marie Roberts, Nicole Marrale Cimato, Andy Moss, Kelly Jakiel, Paschal Frisina III, Elizabeth Urbanczyk and Loraine O'Donnell.
Performances are 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays at Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst.
Meet-the-cast talkbacks take place after all Wednesday performances. There is no performance on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23.
Tickets are $28 for Wednesday and Thursday evening performances and weekend matinees, and $32 for Friday and Saturday evening performances, and are available by calling 839-8540.
