Daniel H. Smith and Deana C. Saada

Sandy Saada of Getzville announces the engagement of her daughter, Deana Corinne Saada, to Daniel Hopkins Smith, son of Rebecca and Dunham Smith of Sandy Hook, Conn. Miss Saada is also the daughter of the late Rene Saada.

Miss Saada is a 1997 graduate of Williamsville North High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education and French horn performance from Ithaca College in 2001 and her master's degree in music education from Ithaca College in 2006. She is a band director in the Carlisle Public Schools in Carlisle, Mass.

Her fiance is a 1996 graduate of Newton High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in anthropology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2000 and is studying for his master's degree in museum studies at Harvard University Extension School. He is an exhibit developer at the Museum of Science Boston.

An August 2007 wedding is planned.
