Samantha-Blake M. Meli and Parker K. Stafford

Martha and Brian Townson of East Aurora and Robert F. Meli Jr. of New Jersey announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha-Blake Maywood Meli, to Parker Knight Stafford, son of Janet and Rob McDowell of Plattsburgh, Kay Stafford of Plattsburgh, and the late Sen. Ronald B. Stafford.

Miss Meli is a 1998 graduate of Buffalo Seminary. She earned her bachelor's degree in English literature and theatre from St. Lawrence University in 2002. She is a veterinary intern at Banfield Veterinary Hospital and is studying veterinary medicine through Purdue University.

Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of Holderness School in Plymouth, N.H. He earned his bachelor's degree in government from St. Lawrence University in 2002. He is an account manager for CMA Consulting Services in Latham, N. Y.

A July 2007 wedding is planned for the Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, Vt.
