Buffalo In-Line Hockey Group
Aces, 535's, Storm come up big

It was No. 7 day for the Buffalo In-line Hockey Group last Saturday.

Zac Carslisle (Cheektowaga), Edgar Rosario (Kenmore), Griffin O'Brien (Lancaster), Justin Swan (Tonawanda) and Rob Russell (Tonawanda), who all wear No. 7, scored for their respective teams.

BIHG major division leaders, the Black Aces, held off a stubborn Red Raiders, 6-4.

Grand Island's David Campuzano, Williamsville's Doug Smith and Amherst's John Lyons each had a pair for the Aces and also got strong blue line play from the Pronti boys, Zac and Luke.

Pat Smith of Amherst chipped in a hat trick for the Raiders. The 535's, leaders in the junior division, took a couple on Saturday. Jim Krolikowski of Amherst had a natural hat trick in the 535's' 5-3 win over the Blue Flames. Krolikowski had two more later on in the day in a 4-2 triumph over the Hurricanes. In both games for the 535's, Phil Mayer and Aiden Abraszek played great hockey.

In the last game of the day, The Storm rode four goals from one of those 7's, Rob Russell and cruised to a 6-3 win over the Hornets.

Buffalo In-line Hockey Group is the premier youth in-line hockey league in Erie County and plays every Saturday morning in two age groups at the EPIC Center on Wehrle Dr. in Amherst. New players are always welcome.
