Wrestlers cause road block

Friday, Oct. 27
+ A group of nine people walked out on a $141.21 check at a Niagara Falls Boulevard restaurant.
Three intoxicated youths were in a restaurant on Sheridan Drive. A 16-year-old boy passed out and was picked up by his father.
At a Main Street address, a fire alarm was set off accidently by a smoke machine being used during a Halloween party.
Police responded to a Southwedge Drive residence for an activated alarm. No burglary was taking place but when police checked the bathroom, the dog that had been inside escaped. Patrol relocked the dog in the bathroom.
Saturday, Oct. 28 A motorist driving on Hilton Boulevard complained that he almost hit a small blue car that appeared to have rolled out of someone's driveway. The car was pulled back into the driveway.
A group of males dressed in red, white and blue wrestling-type costumes were obstructing traffic by jumping into the roadway on Transit Road.
A person attending the South High School football game on Main Street called police about a fight that had broken out on the field and stopped the game.
A lawn statue was reported stolen on Berryman Drive.
A complainant on Bernhardt Drive reported a live rat in a garbage can.
Sunday, Oct. 29
Suspicious people were reported on Sheridan Drive for taking items from a Dumpster. They were collecting scrap metal and returned it.
A Bernhardt Drive resident was concerned that two males sitting in a car were casing houses. They were waiting for a friend who lives in the area to get home, police reported.
A Rolling Meadow resident reported that a neighbor was draining pool water into the complainant's yard. The pool is empty and according to the neighbor, it hadn't been filled for as long as he can remember.
A gunshot was reported on Cadman Drive. Police advised that it might have been a tree branch breaking due to high wind.
Monday, Oct. 30
Picketers were reportedly getting out of hand on Sheridan Drive.
Storm cleanup efforts at the Williamsville Cemetery also recovered evidence of youths drinking there, possibly after dark. Police were asked to check the area often at night.
A woman reported that a road crew on Crosby Boulevard gave her a hard time while trying to pass, and one person threw a branch at her car and scratched it.
Police were called by a Sundrige Drive resident who reported that a male was racing a bike up and down the street and wasn't wearing a helmet.
Tuesday, Oct. 31
Two reports of cars being hit with eggs were called in from West Klein Road.
On Grandview Drive a group of eight to 10 ten males were possibly intoxicated. One youth reportedly urinated on the caller's water fountain.
A male in a blue and grey sweat suit, who was on a bike, reportedly stole a pair of clippers from a Main Street store.
An Ashworth Court resident reported to police that high school boys were rumored to be in the area with paint ball guns to shoot trick or treaters.
Wednesday, Nov. 1
A person walking a dog through a lot on Sheridan Drive reported that a man was sitting in a truck with a ski mask on.
A Landings Drive resident reported hearing someone scream and then the house alarm went off. Police reported that the resident in question was yelling at deer.
On Mill Street, a pot belly pig was running loose in the area. The animal was returned home.
A taillight was stolen from a car on Main Street.
Thursday, Nov. 2
Three people walked out on an $88 bill at a Niagara Falls Boulevard restaurant. A gift card with zero funds was left and could be traced back to the owner.
A welfare check was reported on Evans Street. A man who had locked himself out of the apartment was trying to call his father, who was inside. There was no answer, and the son was worried that something was wrong. The father was in the bathroom and opened the door.
On Allenhurst Road, a resident reported that the neighbor threw hot water on the complainant's couch. The incident was reportedly part of an ongoing problem.
