Mellow fellow

Sixties' psychedelic singer Donovan will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall, Buffalo.

Donovan issued his debut single, "Catch the Wind" in 1965, and the British musician was immediately compared to Bob Dylan, with his ramshackle folk sound and ragamuffin looks. The single reached the UK Top Five. From there, Donovan's music took on a psychedelic tinge in 1966 with the album "Sunshine Superman." The title track topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, and 1967's "Mellow Yellow" single reached No. 2 in the United States.

All of Donovan's hits are included on "Sunshine Superman, the Best of Donovan."

Tickets are $30 and are available at the box office, 885-5000, and through Tickets.com at 888-223-6000 and www. tickets. com.
