Connecticut ceremony unites couple

Ailisa Ann Edwards married Matthew Anthony Parente in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Center Congregational Church in Manchester, Conn. The Rev. Terry Schmitt officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Laura and Leroy Edwards of Clinton, Conn. The groom is the son of Diane and John Parente of East Amherst.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore a beaded ivory strapless gown and a fingertip-length ivory veil with beaded edging. She carried a bouquet of roses.
The matron of honor was Shannon Rose, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Alyssa Young, sister of the bride; Amy Parente, sister-in-law of the groom; and Jenni Barber, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Hailey Young, niece of the bride.
The best man was John Parente, brother of the groom. The ushers were Ken Haggerty, cousin of the groom, and Matthew Schlabach and Pete Pyzik, friends of the groom. The ring bearers were Colby and Jacob Rose, nephews of the bride.
A reception was held at The Adams Mill in Manchester, Conn. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple is at home in Manchester.
