A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 21 at St. Gregory the Great Church, 250 Saint Gregory Ct., Williamsville, for Mary Anne Doro.
Mrs. Doro, 80, formerly of Williamsville, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, in Coral Springs, Fla.
Born Mary Anne Fronczak, she graduated from Holy Angels Academy. She worked at the Westinghouse Plant at the Buffalo Airport before becoming a full-time mother of five children.
Her husband of 49 years, Alfred, died in 1998. They raised their children in Williamsville. She was also active in Doro's Dry Cleaning Co., Inc.
Mrs. Doro was involved in many civic and social organizations, most notably: Meals on Wheels, Polish American Youth Organization and St. Gregory the Great Bridge Club.
Mrs. Doro also had a keen interest in gardening and flower arranging as a member of Ichibana Club of Western New York.
She also loved to travel. In Oct. 1978, she went to Rome to witness the installation of Pope John Paul II. With her husband, they maintained homes in Pompano Beach, Fla. and Crecent Beach. Ont.
Mrs. Doro is survived by four sons, James of East Amherst, Michael of Parkland, Fla., Joseph of Ellicottville and Chip of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a daughter, Holly Warters of Pompano, Fla. and 16 grandchildren.
