Trick or treat planned at museum Children ages 3-10 are invited to trick or treat at the Amherst Museum's "gently spooky," historic buildings this weekend. Groups leave every 15 minutes to travel along the trick-or-treat route from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 and from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at the museum, at 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road. The event has been rescheduled because of the snow storm. Anyone currently holding tickets should plan to come at the same time on Oct. 27 or 28. Tickets are still available and can be obtained by calling 689-1440. Each of the buildings will be decorated for Halloween but will not be frightening. Costumed volunteers will distribute candy and prizes to the children as they follow the route around the grounds. Children and their parents will finish trick-or-treating with refreshments. Admission is $3 for adults and $7 for children. Reservations are required. Call 689-1440 for information and tickets. The museum is open year-round from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, at the corner of New Road in Amherst. Visit the Web site www.amherstmuseum.org. | |||||
