Couple wed in ceremony at Avanti Mansion

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher D. Garvin
Alysha Lynn Palumbo married Christopher David Garvin in an evening ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006 at the Avanti Mansion in Blasdell. The Rev. Frances H. Manly officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Kathleen and Thomas Palumbo of Sutton, Mass. The groom is the son of Cheryl and David Garvin of Traverse City, Mich.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a strapless organza A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline, featuring a side drape with beaded metallic embroidery and a chapel train. She also wore a crystal and pearl tiara with an elbow-length crystal flower veil. She carried a bouquet of mini calla lilies, accented with crystal-studded stephanotis.

The maid of honor was Ashley Palumbo, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jodi Garvin, sister of the groom, and Sarah Smith, Sara Kassen, Megan Kelly and Emily Vella, friends of the bride. The readers were Brooke Kelley and Jessica Leffler, friends of the bride.

The best man was Brent Garvin, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Andrew Palumbo, brother of the bride, and Jeffrey Mikowski, Scott Bunting, Benjamin LaCross and K.C. Klumpp, friends of the groom. The ushers were Joseph Charlevoix and Eric Schugars, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at the Avanti Mansion in Blasdell. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple is at home in Amherst.
