Bride's uncle assists at afternoon ceremony

Katie Suzanne Herberger married John Michael Prible in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at the Church of the Nativity United Church of Christ in Kenmore. The Rev. Daniel J. Schifeling, the Rev. Kay E. Woike, and the Rev. Mr. John H. Ball, uncle of the bride, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Carol and Mel Herberger of the Town of Tonawanda. The groom is the son of Kathleen and John P. Prible of Tampa, Fla.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a strapless satin gown with elaborate beadwork. The flowers and vines on her semi cathedral train were hand-embroidered and beaded, and her fingertip, angel-cut veil had satin piping. She carried a bouquet of green hydrangeas with calla lilies and roses.

The maid of honor was Amanda Herberger, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Angela Ferri, Robyn Blanchard and Kathryn Welnowski, friends of the bride. The flower girls were Zoe Hamlin and Avery DeAngelo, nieces of the groom.

The best man was Ian Gray, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Greg Dauphin, David Bacon, Michael Ray and Josh Doyle, friends of the groom. The ushers were Brewster Bevis, Gerry O'Shea and Miguel Romano, friends of the groom. The ring bearers were Carter Hamlin and Macklin DeAngelo, nephews of the groom.

A reception was held at the Buffalo Club in Buffalo. After a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Arlington, Va.
