RedHawks slip past Bulls, 38-31
     Untimely penalties and turnovers ruined a spirited effort by the University at Buffalo football team as it dropped a 38-31 decision to Miami University on Sunday afternoon at UB Stadium. The game was rescheduled from Saturday after a record snow fall on Friday closed the school.

     The St. Benedict's Tigers used great pitching, solid defense and some timely hitting to upend the St. Mark's Lions, 3-0, to win the Buffalo North Catholic junior varsity baseball championship.

     St. Benedict's varsity baseball team won its first league title since 1999 after defeating St. Mark's, 4-3, in the championship game of the Bishop Turner Division of the Diocesan Parochial Baseball League. St. Benedict's league record improved to 8-0, 17-1 overall.
