Connie Mack will hold travel softball tryouts for the 10U and 12U teams from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Garnet fields. Connie Mack offers softball to girls ages 5 to 18 years of age.

Claire Hourihan, an East Amherst resident and Williamsville North High School graduate, scored her first collegiate goal for Stonehill College in the team's 4-2 win over Bryant University last Saturday.

Jason Tartick, a Williamsville resident and Williamsville East graduate, scored his second and third goals of the season in the St. John Fisher College men's soccer team's 2-0 win over Geneseo State College last Saturday. His second goal came on a cross by Amherst resident and St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's Pat Fitzgerald.
