Mr. and Mrs. Angelo C o rd a ro

Doreen and Angelo Cordaro of Lancaster celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant in Blasdell.

Angelo Cordaro married Doreen Powell on Sept. 5, 1951 in the hospital chapel of the U.S. Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Ill.

Angelo is a retired postal inspector, and Doreen is semi-retired from her job as a housewife. They are both active members of the Union Road United Church of Christ and enjoy spending time at their summer home in Evans.

The couple has three children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
