Reynolds is not seeking spotlight

President Reagan once said, "There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit." That has always been one of my favorite quotes and brings a local leader to mind, Rep. Thomas Reynolds.

In following politics over the years, I have noticed there always seems to be a lot of press and little action from some leaders and little press and a lot of action out of others. Rep. Reynolds falls into this latter category. I remember last summer during the BRAC hearings, Rep. Reynolds was the first to stand up and the last to sit down, yet he respectfully shared the credit equally among his colleagues.

He supports projects that are not in his district, such as Roswell, and never makes a media spectacle about doing what he simply sees as his job. He is one of the most effective leaders this area has ever had.

Reynolds doesn't need a camera to let him know he did a good job. He is a man who works hard for the people of Western New York, not because he wants to make the evening news, but because he cares about the job he is doing.
