Caregiver program begins Oct. 5

A Powerful Tools for Caregivers program, through the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central new York, will be held in Amherst next month.

The six-week educational program will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 5- Nov. 9 at Christ United Methodist Church, 2350 Saratoga Road, Snyder. It is designed to provide caregivers with the tools needed for taking care of themselves - including reducing stress, improving self-confidence and communication skills and how to locate helpful resources.

Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $25. Complete course cost is covered for Independent Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Univera members.
