Flames defenseman marries in East Amherst

Mr. and Mrs. Rhett Wa r re n e r
Christina Bager married Rhett Warrener in an afternoon ceremony on Friday, Aug. 11, 2006 at St. Mary's Church in East Amherst. The Rev. Robert Yetter officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Dr. William Bager of East Amherst. The groom is the son of LuAnn and Doug Warrener of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a Jim Hjelm strapless gown with a white silk taffeta shirred body skimming the silhouette with a full skirt, a crystal V-neck and a chapel train. The veil was waist-length, and she carried a bouquet of Gerbera daisies, roses and lilies.

The maid of honor was Tracy Bliznik, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Dana Warrener, sister of the groom, and Jocelyn and Holly Hanes and Jen Henry, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Emily Tocco, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Trevor Warrener, brother of the groom. The ushers were Jason Weimer, Steve Montador, Bart Holt and Kurt England, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Harry's Harbour Place Grille.

The couple is at home in Calgary, Alberta, where the groom is a defenseman for the Calgary Flames.
