Tariffs would hurt American products

I cannot follow Jack Davis' logic. He wants to place tariffs on foreign goods. He thinks that this will lead to people buying more, higher-priced American goods.

What happens to all of the American goods in foreign markets? They will have huge tariffs placed on them, and foreign countries will buy their own products or products manufactured in another country, and American products will fall by the wayside. American workers will lose their jobs.

I think Jack Davis is too jaded by how competition has put pressure on his own company and hurt his personal wallet. Maybe he should invest some of the money he is spending on his campaign into modernizing his company. He clearly needs to take a basic high school economics class.
