The Cat in the Hat is coming to the Lancaster Opera House when "Seussical" is performed Oct. 6-15.
The musical translates the whimsical cadence of Dr. Seuss' books to the stage, drawing on several Seuss works, focusing mainly on the adventures of Horton the Elephant. Enjoy a performance of music and song born of the imaginative styling of the incomparable Dr. Seuss.
Produced by Niagara Fine Arts, directed by Maureen Pusateri and choreography by Gracie Schupp, "Seussical" features Mary Beth Lacki as the Cat in the Hat, John "Brown" Maier as Horton, plus Laura Grinnen, Adrienne Lewis, Marina Laurendi and others.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14, and 2 p.m. Oct. 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 21 Central Ave., Lancaster.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $10 for children 12 and under, and are available by calling 683-1776. For information on group rates, call 683-3032.
