GIFT OF CARING

Debra Miga, left, head of the Volunteer Services at Roswell Institute, stands by handmade prayer shawls with Christ the King School students Jackie Wydysh and Katie Dennee. In January 2006, the fifth grade class of Christ the King School was taught to knit by their teacher Maureen Pfeifer and by June knitted more than 30 prayer shawls which were then blessed by Msgr. James Lichtenthal of Christ the King Parish. These shawls were presented to Roswell Institute in August 2006 to be given to patients for comfort.
