Christian Central Academy girls soccer loses two

In its second game against Barker, Christian Central Academy girls varsity soccer team (1-3-1) played a sounder defense, but still lost 1-0.

CCA goalie Jenni Albrecht gave a solid effort by allowing only one goal, a very good long, high shot placed perfectly away from her.

CCA's defense of Amie Stuitje, Sarah Wade, Kristen Ganze, Faye-Lynn Noel and Tayler Hobba played a strong game to keep the score to one goal. Unfortunately, CCA's offense could not find the net despite outshooting Barker, 21-17. Emma Dewart scored for Barker.

CCA lost 2-0 against Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls played very aggressively and out-shot CCA, 25-10.

Albrecht allowed two first half goals out of 15 shots. Both were solid shots and tough to save.

In the second half, Albrecht was moved to sweeper and helped replacement goalie Leanne Hoppe post a shutout with 10 saves.
