Flu, pneumonia shots to be given in Clarence

Flu and pneumonia shots will be administered from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 5 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the Clarence Senior Center, 4600 Thompson Road in Clarence.

The Visiting Nursing Association will be administering the vaccines. Flu and pneumonia shots will be free with the following insurances: Medicare Part B, Univera, Independent Health and some traditional Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

If a person does not have any of these insurances or does not bring an insurance card, there ill be a $25 fee for the flu shot and a $40 fee for the pneumonia shot.

No exceptions will be made. Two appointments are required for both shots.
