ECC offers 15-week training sequence set to begin on Oct. 10 at the north campus As a result of enormous demand, Erie Community College will offer another CNC Machining and Programming 15-week training sequence beginning Tuesday, Oct. 10 at ECC's North Campus, 6205 Main St., Williamsville. A sequence of five courses includes CNC mill programming, machine tool practice, CNC mill operation, technical graphics/CAD and industrial inspection/metrology. Classes are held Monday through Friday evenings. This course sequence is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the precision metalworking industry. Upon completion of the five courses, students will receive a letter of completion from the Industrial Technology Department and earn 12 college credits, which can be applied toward an associate's degree in industrial technology. Cost of the 15-week program is $2,470.50, which includes the cost of books and supplies. Tuition assistance may be available through ECC's One-Stop Centers for qualified individuals and financial aid may also be available for students matriculated into the Industrial Technology program.
