Company unveils new name Elias Asset Management, a nationally recognized investment management firm, has officially changed its name to Nottingham Advisors. The firm is located at 500 Essjay Road, suite 220, Williamsville. Thomas S. Quealy, Jr., president and chief operating officer, said the decision reflects the company's evolution over the last several years into a far more diversified and complete wealth management solution provider. In addition, for the first time in its history, the company has adopted an official tagline, "Proving Our Worth By Building Yours." The company, which is also celebrating its 25th anniversary, made the announcement at a special reception at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society. Elias Asset Management was founded in 1981 by David Elias, who retired at the end of 2005. In 2000, the company was acquired by Community Bank System Inc., and now operates as a stand-alone subsidiary of the bank holding company. "Our founder did an excellent job of creating and fostering our brand on a national scale for nearly a quarter century," said Quealy. Recently, the company has launched a diversified income portfolio under the guidance of newly appointed Chief Investment Officer Lawrence V. Whistler, who possesses experience within the fixed income discipline as a certified financial analyst and former bond trader. Vice President and Portfolio Manager Nicholas Verbanic rounds out Nottingham's senior management team, all of whom have at least 16 years or more of experience within the financial services industries. |
