Fright nights

From the cute-n-spooky to the deeply creepy, there are activities and attractions for the entire family at Six Flags Darien Lake's Fright Fest, weekends, Sept. 22 through Oct. 1.

When guests visit Six Flags Darien Lake, raging roller coasters won't be the only thing that will get them screaming. People who are looking for a good scare can creep around the park in Scare Zones, designated areas where zombies, ghouls and ghosts will be lurking in the shadows. Those faint of heart can explore the Non-Scare Zones where they will be safe from the creatures of the night.

Fright Fest features the Laserlight Spooktacular, a Halloween-themed laser show with aerial fireworks, as well as Trick-or-Treat Trail, Bloodstone Hollow, Brutal Planet Haunted House (additional charge) and local dance groups from Buffalo and Rochester.

Families and guests looking to enjoy a full weekend of Halloween fun can enjoy accommodations and stay in the hotel or RV campers.

Fright Fest hours are 6-10 p.m. Fridays, 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturdays and 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $19.99 for adults, $12.99 for children under 48 inches, and free for children 2 and under, and seniors over 55.
