Mary Lou Noah, retired claims manager supervisor

Mary Lou Noah, 71, of Williamsville, a retired claims manager supervisor for the the New York State Division of Labor, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, in Sisters Hospital.

Born Mary Lou Friol in Buffalo, she graduated

from Stella Niagara High School in 1953 and attended the University of Buffalo.

In 1956, she married Raymond A. Noah in St. Mark's Church in Buffalo. He died in 1999.

In the early 1950's she began working as a clerk for the New York State Division of Labor and advanced to Claims Manager Supervisor. She retired in 1996.

Mrs. Noah was an active member of Stella Niagara Alumni Association.

She was devoted to her family and especially, her two granddaughters. Mary Lou embraced her husband Raymond's Lebanese heritage, traditions and family.

Mrs. Noah loved to travel domestically and internationally, having most recently visited China. She was also an avid baker especially known for her lemon meringue pies.

Mrs. Noah is survived by a daughter, Lori Cantara of Buffalo; a sister, Rose Margaret Neubecker; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 from the Chapel at Stella Niagara, 4421 Lower River Road, Lewiston.

If desired, memorials may be made to Sisters Hospital Foundation or Hospice Foundation.
