Couple to reside in Virginia

Abbie M. McCloe married Austin H. Whitmore in an evening ceremony on Friday, July 7, 2006 at the historic Avon Inn in Avon, N.Y. The Rev. Richard McCaughey officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Sally M. McCloe of Lima, N.Y., and David M. McCloe of East Amherst. The groom is the son of Beverly and Howard Whitmore of Callicoon, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore an ivory-white, square-neck, A-line gown with gemstone brooches on the straps. A line of buttons graced the length of the back. She carried a cascading bouquet of ivory, lavender and dark purple roses.

The maid of honor was Jenna Snyder, friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Megan Klein, cousin of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Claire Stein, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Corieanne Stein, cousin of the bride.

The groomsmen were David C. and Brian G. McCloe, brothers of the bride.

A reception was held at the Avon Inn.

After a honeymoon cruise in the fall, the couple is at home in Salem, Va.
