Congress needs to address gun control

I was hypnotized by a recent headline in a newspaper: "Mother loses a third son to gunfire." Her two other sons also had died in earlier shootings.

We as a nation should be ashamed. Homicides by guns is a national problem and can only be ameliorated by federal legislation. The second amendment is not a bar to reasonable, intelligent and orderly gun control legislation.

Regrettably, a cowardly Congress is kowtowed by the National Rifle Association and the gun industry.

How many more sons will mothers lose because of our national lethargy?
