Notice is hereby given of the adoption of a Local Law No. 10 - 2006, "A Local Law To Establish Term Limits For Elected Officials In The Town Of Amherst." This Local Law was adopted at the Town Board meeting held August 21, 2006.

The Local Law amends the Town Code of the Town of Amherst by adding Chapter 55 to limit terms of office for elected officials in the Town of Amherst. Effective with the November 2007 general election, all elected officials of the Town of Amherst will be limited to two consecutive terms in office in the same office to which they are elected.
