Night delight

Enjoy the Village of Wi l l i a m s v i l l e when it holds its open house during "An Evening in the Village," from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, along Main Street.

The family event features street sales from area businesses, dining and dancing and free trolley rides.

Enjoy an Elvis tribute show with Patrick Johnson with Blues Band Big City Thrill at Town Hall at 5583 Main St.

There will also be a fire prevention open house at the Williamsville Fire Department. Included will be an auto extraction demonstration with the Jaws of Life.

The highlight of the event is a $500 Village of Williamsville shopping spree.

Rock Street will be closed for the big block party, including tent, wine and beer, raffles, special offers and more. The event will be held rain or shine and there is no admission fee.

SS. Peter & Paul Parish will also hold its September in the Village from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at 5480 Main St., Williamsville. The event will feature children's games, basketball tournament, beer/gambling tents, Chiavetta's chicken barbecue and band Runaway Train. All proceeds benefit SS. Peter & Paul Parish.
