Business Briefs Cindy Sztore, dining services director for Alterra Clare Bridge of Williamsville, was recently honored with the Alterra Signature Dining Award. She has been a director since 1998 and was recognized for meeting customer satisfaction and company expectations. She was selected from a pool of 34 nominees. Penny Graham of Amherst has been promoted to data deliverables supervisor for Severn Trent Laboratories Inc., 10 Hazelwood Drive, Amherst. An employee of the laboratory since 2005, Graham has experience in report production and data delivery and most recently held the position of technical report writer. Also, STL recently promoted Brian Fischer to project management supervisor. An employee at the laboratory since 1988, Fischer has previously held the positions of field services manager, sample management supervisor and most recently, project manager. Buffalo Niagara SCORE will hold a seminar, "Financial Management for Small Businesses," from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 at the Canisius College Center at Amherst, 300 Corporate Parkway, Amherst. The cost is $25 and attendees will learn the essentials of financial management, a management tool critical to the success of a business. The workshop will cover financial analysis and financial statements and terms that are necessary for business growth. Hon. Judge Mario J. Rossetti of Amherst recently joined the law firm of Stamm, Reynolds & Stamm in Williamsville in an "of council" capacity. He is a retired New York State Court of Claims judge, and is an acting New York Supreme Court justice. He had handled estate matters in Erie County Surrogate's Court and the general practice of law. Beacon Center has relocated its Sheridan Drive, Amherst office to 3163 Sheridan Drive. The new facility is across the street from the former location, at the Northtown Plaza. The center said the new location will better serve its clients. Melissa A. Cavagnaro of Amherst was recently hired by Cohen & Lombardo PC as an associate. Cavagnaro will concentrate her practice in the areas of matrimonial and family law and civil litigation. |
