Friday, Aug. 18
+ A North Ellicott Street resident complained that someone put Vaseline and pizza on the car and in the tail pipe.
A Vine Lane resident had three pairs of shoes stolen while at work.
A helmet was taken off from a motorcycle that was parked in a lot on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
A suspicious person was reported on Nancy Lane by a resident who said an older man approached her trying to sell magazines and wanted his picture taken with her for a contest. The subject left on foot.
A man on Glen Avenue was reported for loading large boulders from the park into the trunk of his car.
Saturday, Aug. 19 A large pocket knife was found in the roadway on Amberwood Drive.
A North Long Street resident complained that there was a party going on, and the hosts had a tent and valet parking partially blocking the road.
Two puppies were reportedly tied to a tree and left out in the rain on Eggert Road.
Police were called about baby possums making chirping noises on Walton Drive. The mother was reportedly dead.
A person wearing a turban was reportedly bending down and standing up in a vacant lot on Sweet Home Road. The complainant didn't know what the subject was doing. Police assisted the subject.
A Belmore Court resident said there was a hawk sitting under a lounge chair near the swimming pool.
Sunday, Aug. 20
An intoxicated female called from Surrey Run, but the dispatcher was having trouble understanding her. She was saying something about her dog, her brother's back pain and that youths were outside using foul language while playing basketball.
A complainant told police a girl had been sitting on Paradise Road near the school sign for three hours. No problem was found; she had been there only 20 minutes waiting for a friend.
Harassment was reported on North Ivyhurst Road when a 16-year-old neighbor threatened the complainant for watching him and his girlfriend argue outside. The subject and his parents were advised.
A group of four teens were tipping tables and causing damage to a park on Old Niagara Falls Boulevard. No damage was found, and the teens were advised on how to behave properly in a town park.
Monday, Aug. 21
A Sheridan Drive resident complained that someone using a very loud machine to clean floors was keeping her children awake. The worker agreed to shut down the machine for the day.
A car parked on Old Oak Post Road had been egged and covered with orange juice during the past couple of weeks.
A large crowd was expected to gather at a Main Street store at midnight for the release of a new video game. A patrol was requested.
A person in line at a fast food restaurant's drive-through on Main Street reported that people were hanging out of the trunk of the vehicle in front of the complainant. Police found them to be students engaged in a scavenger hunt. A report was filed that flowers
had been taken from a grave site at a Main Street cemetery. This is reportedly a constant problem.
A Washington Highway resident called police about a bat flying around the house. The complainant said he had a net to try and catch it but needed some assistance.
Tuesday, Aug. 22
A complainant reported that a man pointed some type of electronic device at an ATM on Niagara Falls Boulevard and left when he saw the complainant. The subject circled around and came back.
Criminal mischief was reported on Brittany Drive when someone soliciting for a political group drove over a resident's lawn after the wife didn't answer the door.
A Brandywine Drive resident reported a suspicious person. She said she saw a man changing his clothes, including his baseball cap, in the woods and then leave. Police reported that a Rollingwood resident had a tree cut down in the area, and the person could have been an employee removing his coveralls.
A female arrested for larceny at a Sheridan Drive store had narcotics in her possession.
A sick squirrel was in a black bag at the curb in front of the complainant's house on Edgewater Drive. The injured squirrel was taken into custody.
Wednesday, Aug. 23 Police responded to a call on
East Summerset Lane and found adults making s'mores over a contained bonfire.
A group of youths rang an Ashworth Court resident's doorbell and placed a dirty shirt on the front door. Parents and youths were advised.
Police responded to a dispute on Sheridan Drive between a man and a woman. Despite one of the subjects having blood on a shirt, both denied there was a problem.
A motorist's windshield was cracked by debris that blew out of a dump truck on Interstate-290.
A Wehrle Drive business reported that merchandise worth $10,000 to $15,000 had been picked up, but the truck never arrived to deliver the goods in Maryland.
Thursday, Aug. 24
Dognapping was reported on Catherine Street. The resident said her St. Charles spaniel had been stolen, but it actually escaped under the fence. The dog was located.
A male in sloppy clothing was harassing customers at a Main Street business. Management asked to have him removed.
Lost checks were reported by a High Park Boulevard resident, until she remembered they had been deposited at the bank.
A man reported that he was threatened by a male who was going through garbage bins on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
A North Campus Drive resident complained that a 5-year-old child was constantly outside naked.
