Cruise marks couple's anniversar y

Dr. and Mrs. Joseph La Nasa

Geraldine and Dr. Joseph La Nasa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Inland Waterway cruise to Florida and a renewal Mass at St. Leo the Great Church in Amherst. They will also attend the Bishop's Jubilee Mass in November at St. Joseph's Cathedral, and their children and grandchildren will join them for a dinner at the Brookfield Country Club on the date of their anniversary.

Joseph La Nasa married the former Geraldine Collins on Aug. 18, 1951 at St. Lawrence Church in Buffalo.

After 41 years, Joseph retired from dental practice in Amherst.

Geraldine was a dental hygienist with a private practice and is now retired.

They are both Eucharistic ministers at St. Leo the Great.

The couple has four children and seven grandchildren.
